Main duties

  • You will provide a personal and courteous welcome.
  • You will be responsible for the wellbeing of the guests throughout their stay to ensure they have an unforgettable experience.
  • You will anticipate and address any potential issues to ensure they are resolved quickly.
  • You will deal with guests’ requests and liaise with the various departments of the hotel. You will be attentive to customer feedback and share it with your team and line manager to continuously improve the hotel’s quality of service.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and updating customer files and will use the Accor tools at your disposal to build customer loyalty.
  • You will give a special and personal welcome to customers who are members of the Accor loyalty programme. You will act as an ambassador for this programme and will recommend it to customers at every opportunity.
  • You will be responsible for invoicing and collecting receipts, monitoring the cash register and ensuring the security of monies. You will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment and the safety of goods and people within the hotel.
  • You may also be required to take part in the cleaning of the establishment and its exterior in keeping with the current standards and rules of hygiene, as well as ensuring the inspection of deliveries. You may be required to assist the booking department depending on the hotel’s needs.
  • You will contribute to the group synergy by implementing the inter-hotel referral.

When you are required to work at night, you will:

  • Be responsible for the establishment in the absence of your superiors.
  • Ensure daily hotel closure and financial reporting.
  • Monitor turnover/cash receipts and report any discrepancies or errors.
  • Prepare the information for the various departments so that each day’s service is as good as possible.
  • Carry out checks to ensure the safety of goods and people.
  • Set up the breakfast buffet in line with the hotel procedures.

Required Profile

  • Training level BAC or BTS catering and/or a first 3-month experience as a waiter
  • Interest in quality service/customer experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A clear speaking voice, and a good command of written and spoken French
  • Fluency in English and in a second language if required
  • Hospitality and service skills
  • Dynamic, fast and efficient
  • Team spirit/mutual support
  • Good organisational skills and proactive
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
